Mobile VMS launches two new products to support work zone safety

Dec 5, 2025 | Other

We’re excited to announce the launch of two new products that represent a major step forward in digital work zone safety and connectivity: the Smart Light Arrow and the Work Zone Location Marker (WZLM).

These technologies have been developed to enhance transparency, improve communication and support better decision-making across every stage of a project. As part of our mission to deliver integrated and future-proof ITS solutions, both products align with our commitment to innovation, collaboration and customer-focused design.

Smart Light Arrow: Transforming traditional arrow boards into connected safety devices

Our Smart Light Arrow retrofit kit makes it easy to ‘smart enable’ any existing light arrow. Once installed, the device becomes part of a connected ecosystem, providing real-time digital information to project teams and road users.

Key features include:

  • Real-time lane closure information
  • Live updates to Waze and selected in-car navigation systems
  • Full activation history and data logs
  • GPS tracking of all arrow boards
  • Remote visibility and management via JamLogic™

This technology significantly improves situational awareness at roadworks, reduces the risk to operatives and provides motorists with clearer, earlier information to support safer journeys.

Work Zone Location Marker (WZLM): Accurate, zero-emissions work zone tracking

Our new Work Zone Location Marker (WZLM) gives project teams a reliable, real-time way to communicate the start and end points of live works.

Key features:

  • Real-time updates to Waze and mapping systems
  • Transparent data accessible to all project stakeholders
  • Historical tracking for auditing and reporting
  • Zero emissions – no fuel, noise or battery swaps

The WZLM is suitable for all work zones, from long-term schemes to rolling closures, and forms a key part of our vision for fully connected, data-led traffic management.

Supporting smarter, safer networks

We’re committed to advancing the UK’s digital work zone capabilities, and these launches reinforce that direction – helping our customers deliver schemes that are safer, more efficient and more sustainable.
